Group Vocal Lessons

Groups are a fun and inexpensive way to explore vocal lessons. The vocal techniques taught are the same as in the private lessons- the difference is that you spend part of the time learning by doing, and part of the time learning by observing your fellow students. Do you want to sing better, improve your speaking or stage voice, explore Yogic breathing and relaxation techniques, learn to speak up with confidence, or just explore and discover your true voice- Sue has you covered: "Whether you are singing, laughing, weeping, cheering or speaking, your voice is uniquely yours. It is uniquely beautiful and perfectly suited as an instrument to express your mind, body and soul. There has never been, and will never be another exactly like it. You are a part of the song of the earth. So raise your voice proudly and join the song without fear. Everyone deserves to express themselves and experience the joys of singing and speaking with their most resonant, relaxed and empowered voice." Vocal lessons are for anyone 5 and over. The younger the student, the more the lesson looks like playtime. Twenty & Thirty minute lessons are available for kids. About Sue Carney In 25 seasons at the Oregon Shakespeare, Sue has taught many professional singers and actors to use their voices more effectively. In addition, she has performed and taught extensively throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Her critically acclaimed performances effortlessly span genres from Early music to Jazz, World Music, Rock and Blues; She has performed in numerous historic languages and dialects ranging from 12th Century German Latin, to 1940s Parisian French, Irish Gaelic, Shakespearean English, and much more.
